Kobe Maritime Museum was opened to celebrate 120 anniversary of the Kobe port.

In the museum, you can learn about the sea, port and ships. The beautiful white frames on the building mimics the wave of the sea or a sail of a ship. Some ships are exhibited outside, so that you must enjoy them without entering.

No.6 EARTHQUAKE MEMORIAL MUSEUM
In 1995 the great earthquake hit the city of Kobe and the near cities. To reduce the damage to people from earthquakes and prepare earthquakes which we cannot tell when it happens exactly, this museum was build.
There you can try earthquakes on a simulation machine or how to behave when earthquakes happen.

No.5 HYOGO PREFECTURE MUSEUM
Hyogo Prefecture Museum is known as the building designed by Tadao Ando, who is world widely famous architect. First, the flog on the building welcome you as you walk closer to the museum.
In the permanent exhibition hall, you can see around 8000 of collection of modern art.
There are also temporary exhibition hall and special exhibition program is held next to next. The past temporary programs are Paul Klee, Gaudi × Takehiko Inoue and so on.

China town in Kobe is as popular as those in Yokohama and Nagasaki. You can taste genuine Chinese cuisines and buy Chinese ingredients or goods.

Mt. Rokko is located in the north of Kobe city and you can see it everywhere in the city.

There are many facilities or sightseeing spots on the top; Rokko Garden Terrace, Rokko International Musical Box Museum, Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden. The symbol of Mt. Rokko is the observatory called “Rokko Shidare”. The view of Kobe city from the observatory is spectacular. You can access by bus from Hankyu Rokko Station.

No.1. KOBE PORT TOWER
Kobe Port Tower is the symbol of Kobe city. The white and red grid exterior design somehow imagine you a port.
The hight of the tower is 108m and there is a cafeteria on the top. From the cafeteria you can enjoy the scenery of Kobe, which is surrounded by the mountains and the sea.
At night the tower is lightened up with LED lights. There are 40 different kinds of lighting display.
