Kobe Maritime Museum was opened to celebrate 120 anniversary of the Kobe port.

In the museum, you can learn about the sea, port and ships. The beautiful white frames on the building mimics the wave of the sea or a sail of a ship. Some ships are exhibited outside, so that you must enjoy them without entering.

In 1995 the great earthquake hit the city of Kobe and the near cities. To reduce the damage to people from earthquakes and prepare earthquakes which we cannot tell when it happens exactly, this museum was build.

Hyogo Prefecture Museum is known as the building designed by Tadao Ando, who is world widely famous architect. First, the flog on the building welcome you as you walk closer to the museum.

Mt. Rokko is located in the north of Kobe city and you can see it everywhere in the city.

There are many facilities or sightseeing spots on the top; Rokko Garden Terrace, Rokko International Musical Box Museum, Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden. The symbol of Mt. Rokko is the observatory called “Rokko Shidare”. The view of Kobe city from the observatory is spectacular. You can access by bus from Hankyu Rokko Station.

Kobe Port Tower is the symbol of Kobe city. The white and red grid exterior design somehow imagine you a port.

The hight of the tower is 108m and there is a cafeteria on the top. From the cafeteria you can enjoy the scenery of Kobe, which is surrounded by the mountains and the sea.
